Only Connect Résumé

Only Connect: Readings on Children's Literature Sheila Egoff

First published in 1969 and revised in 1980 and 1995, Only Connect is still widely accepted as an essential tool for everyone concerned with children's books. This collection of essays- many of them classics- on history and criticism, standards, changing tastes, writers and writing, and the child's response to books, offers a highly readable amalgam of learning, common sense, and wit.
