These prayers were submitted by readers of The Times after an invitation to write prayers of their own. From the 1000 prayers selected, this book includes some 200, from men, women and children from all walks of life. The illustrations are original line drawings by boys and girls from Rugby School. The prayers include those about insomnia, parenting, forgiveness, depression, football, fatigue, dyslexia, losing a child, irritability, panic attacks, commitment and forgetfulness. They also celebrate flying kites, eating fudge, church cats, playing cards, safe driving, and personal tributes to wives and husbands.
