Contract Law Directions Résumé

Contract Law Directions Richard Taylor (Professor of Law, Lancashire Law School, University of Central Lancashire)

Are you new to studying contract law? Contract Law Directions is the ideal text for those who are new to the subject; unpacking contract law, bringing it to life and making it relevant. Every day we enter into a contract of some kind, whether it be buying a new phone or getting on a bus. Each chapter is written in an informal and friendly style and includes everyday examples illustrating how contract law applies to real-life situations. Are you looking for a good grounding in the subject? The authors offer practical explanations of the key concepts and principles covered on undergraduate courses. Summaries of key cases are highlighted throughout the book to give you a solid understanding of the relevant case law. Do you want to think more critically about the law? Why was a particular decision reached in a certain case? Is the law on this point rational and coherent? Is contract law fit for purpose? The authors weave debate throughout the text including 'thinking point' features which draw out these issues and equip you to be thinking critically. Would you like to take your learning and revision further? Contract Law Directions includes problem and essay questions at the end of each chapter, as well as advice on efficient and creative study and on exam technique. The book is also accompanied by an extensive range of online resources including multiple choice questions, suggested approaches to answering questions in the book, web links, and a glossary of key terms.
