Rollercoasters Noughts and Crosses Avis

I enjoyed this book a lot. I couldn't stop reading it, it was so good. I think that the combined genres of crime, suspense and romance really works. Megan, year 9 Will linger in the mind long after it has been read. The Observer Dramatic, moving and brave. The Guardian Noughts and Crosses went down really well with a mixed ability group - at least 6 of my students went on to read other books in the series. It inspired some excellent research and discussion activities about the cause and effects of segregation. For example, the Little Rock High riots are overtly alluded to, mental health issues are tackled and terrorist activity is a major theme. TES forum
