Linda Tarrant-Reid has worked as a freelance journalist, writing on the history of African Americans for the NY Daily News. She has worked as communications specialist for school districts. She is the author of Discovering Black NY: A Guide to the City (Citadel), co-editor of Black Star Power (BET books), contributor to Family of Black America (Crown), and managing editor of The Million Man March (Crown).
