Completely Folk'd Résumé

Completely Folk'd Laurence Donaghy

The final instalment of the brilliant, ambitious Folk'd trilogy. `Magic is a funny thing. It's limited only by the imagination. Fiendish imagination, fiendish rules.' Ireland has been wiped from the face of the Earth: pulled into the Otherworld, and overrun by Faerie hybrids, changelings and monsters. Humans are being attacked on the street - they panic and fight amongst themselves, believing that this truly is the end of the world. But there is one hope - Danny Morrigan. A descendant of the War Goddess Morrigan, and charged with fighting the darkness, he must find a way to return balance to both worlds and, more importantly, to reclaim the family that has been stolen from him.

Completely Folk'd Avis

Completely Folk'd is the stunning end to a trilogy... The writing is often funny and at times beautiful... It takes theme of love, family, and acceptance of one's destiny, and weaves them into a complex narrative spanning multiple time periods, dimensions and character viewpoints... the plot winds wonderfully towards an unexpected and triumphant conclusion. -- Matt Sloan
Completely Folk'd is just as riotously funny as its predecessors, puncturing the grandiose settings and creatures with just the right amount of Belfastian swagger, yet never feels glib or at the expense of the seriousness of the situation... Completely Folk'd made me laugh, cry and cheer... a stunning conclusion to the finest trilogy of fantasy novels I've read in a long time. -- Jonathan Cardwell
Completely Folk'd is a triumph. Laurence Donaghy pulls out all the stops to create an action-packed finale to his excellent Folk'd trilogy. With more twists than a bowl full of fusilli pasta, this dark yet heartfelt story will keep you enthralled throughout. Hilarious and at times grotesque, with an inventive abundance of profanities and characters, it all comes together to make something truly special. -- Ben Boyd
