Jill Dudley's third book Ye Gods! II follows on from her first Ye Gods! She continues her travels around Greece, visiting ancient pagan sanctuaries and early churches to discover how Christianity emerged from the old Olympian gods. She is again accompanied by Harry, her husband, who is often the star of the show as her somewhat reluctant travelling companion. As usual, he tends not to think too much about religion, preferring to take Christianity on trust. He is the perfect foil for Jill's curiosity as she searches for satisfactory answers to impossibly difficult questions.It is a light and entertaining read as well as being informative and thought-provoking.
