He introduces the debates about the nature, scope and functions of this law and discusses the wider controversies which surround some of the basic doctrines. The fourth edition includes a new chapter which considers the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. A number of new cases on exclusion clauses, damages, and duress and undue influence are included. The Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 are also discussed.

À propos de Ewan McKendrick

EWAN MCKENDRICK is Professor of English Law at University College London. He has also taught at the Universities of Central Lancashire and Essex, the London School of Economics and Oxford. He is the author of a number of articles on the subject of commercial law, contract law and tort, and is editor of Chitty On Contracts.
