The Magician's Nephew (The Chronicles of Narnia, Book 1) C. S. Lewis

Over 50 years ago, C. S Lewis created a land of wonder and enchantment called Narnia. Since then, over 60 million readers have taken their first steps into Narnia, discovering a world of magic and mystery.

Digory let out a scream. What's happened to Polly?
Congratulate me, my dear boy, said Uncle Andrew, rubbing his hands. My experiment has succeeded. The little girl's gone - vanished - right out of this world.

When Digory and Polly discover Uncle Andrew's secret workshop, they are tricked into touching some magic rings that take them right out of this world. But even Uncle Andrew doesn't realise the wonders that lie ahead as they discover the gateway to the magical land of Narnia, where many thrilling adventures await them.

À propos de C. S. Lewis

CLIVE STAPLES LEWIS was born in Belfast in 1898. As a child, he was fascinated by the fairy tales, myths and ancient legends recounted to him by his Irish nurse. The image of a faun carrying parcels and an umbrella in a snowy wood came to him when he was sixteen. However, it was not until many years later as a professor at Cambridge University, that the faun was joined by an evil queen and a magnificent lion. Their story became 'The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe', one of the best loved books of all time. Six further Chronicles of Narnia followed and the final title, The Last Battle, published in 1956, was awarded the highest mark of excellence in children's literature - the prestigious Carnegie Award.
