Contemporary Scottish Plays for Higher English and Drama Résumé

Contemporary Scottish Plays for Higher English and Drama Anne Gifford

One of the new features of the new Higher English arrangements is the requirement to study at least one Scottish text. There is a lack of suitable material from Scottish writers, and in particular a lack of drama. This anthology includes three plays by Scottish dramatists, with commentary and activities written by the authors to provide all the teaching resources necessary. Each play will work with different levels of student, so that the resource can be used across the Higher Still programme.

À propos de Anne Gifford

Anne Gifford and Jane Robertson lecture in Language and Media at Paisley University, Glasgow. Both have taught in secondary schools in Glasgow. Anne Gifford is a member of the Higher Still reference group for English and Communication, monitoring the development of the new framework.
