One or two cracked gutters, with exposed netting. Pages, plates, maps and illustrations remain bright and clear with minimal tanning. There is the previous owner's inscription to back endpaper with pencil inscription to front endpaper. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Fraying to cloth at bottom back corner. Light crushing to spine ends. Severe tanning to spine and edges with discolouration. Gilt lettering is darkened to spine; front lettering bright. Book has a slight forward lean. Back board is bowed slightly.
