Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Plates are bright and clear. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
