1897. No Edition Stated. 451 pages. No dust jacket. Signed by the author. Blue cloth with gilt title to spine. Includes black & white frontispiece and three plates. Inscribed by the author to front pastedown 'Dr Wall from the author, June 07'. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Rough-cut pages are moderately tanned with mild foxing throughout. Noticeable tear with chipping to top edge of contents page. Noticeable area of scuffing to front pastedown. Thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Large splits to joints, with fraying to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Damp stains to rear board. Visible black marks wit scratches overall.
