Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper, with a pencil inscription to paste-down. Water marks and a few small nicks along text block edge. Slight cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Very heavy tanning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Liquid drops on rear board. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
