1965. First Edition. 174 pages. Red pictorial dust jacket over red cloth with gilt titles to spine. Black and white illustrations by John Wood. Heavy tears to dust jacket. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Inscription to front pastedown. Small brown spot to rear pastedown. Text block edges have pronounced foxing which also appears in the margins of some pages. Endpapers have faint strips of tanning caused by jacket. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt is bright. The unclipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, with tears, chips and large areas of loss all over. Large tears to spine joints and front flap. Jacket is rather rubbed and marked overall.
