Artists in Love Summary

Artists in Love: From Picasso & Gilot to Christo & Jeanne-Claude, A Century of Creative and Romantic Partnerships by Veronica Kavass

In Artists in Love, curator and writer Veronica Kavass delves into the passionate and creative underpinnings of the art world’s most provocative relationships. From Kahlo & Rivera to Rauschenberg & Johns, the Delaunays and the Bechers, Kavass’ intimate and daring text provides a generous glimpse into thirty of the inspiring and sometimes tempestuous romances between celebrated artists throughout the 20th and the 21st centuries. Featuring 140 works of art of which 100 are in full color, including photographs of the couples by photographers such as Irving Penn, Alfred Stieglitz & Hans Namuth.
