About Venetria K. Patton

Venetria Patton is the coordinator of African American and African studies and an associate professor of English at the University of Nebraska. Lincoln, She is the author of Women in Chains: The Legacy of Slavery in Black Women's Fiction. Maureen Honey is a professor of English and women's studies, also at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She is the editor of Shadowed Dreams: Women's Poetry of the Harlem Renalssance (Rutgers University Press) and several other books on women in American literature and culture
