About Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic

Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, PhD, is a senior lecturer at Goldsmiths College (University of London), a research fellow at University College London, and a visiting professor at NYU in London. He is a world-renowned expert in personality and has published over 80 scientific articles covering a wide range of social and applied topics such as personality, human intelligence and genius, human performance, musical preferences, creativity, leadership, and most prominently, individual differences in personality. He also makes frequent appearances in the media (especially UK TV) to provide psychological expertise on these issues. He serves on the editorial board of the APA Division 10 journal Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, and is past recipient of Division 10's Berlyne Award for Early Career Research. His research has been published in such journals as Journal of Research in Personality, Learning and Individual Differences, Educational Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, Creativity Research Journal, Advances in Psychological Research, Journal of Social Psychology, and Psychological Science. He has authored, co-authored, or co-edited numerous books. In addition to his scholarly publications he writes the monthly blog "Mr. Personality" for Psychology Today and has published articles on psychology for such media outlets as The Times (UK), Daily Mirror (UK), Daily Telegraph (UK), and the website for the Big Brother UK reality TV series.,/p>||Gorkan Ahmetoglu is currently carrying out his doctoral research in Goldsmiths, University of London, which is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council in the UK. His research focuses on the entrepreneurial personality. Mr. Ahmetoglu has published various articles on personality and individual differences in such journals as Learning and Individual Differences, Archives of Sexual Behavior, British Journal of Psychology, and British Journal of Educational Psychology. He has also been integrally involved in the development of the Trait Emotional Intelligence and Leadership measure devised by the founder of the TEIQ, Dr. Dino Petrides. Mr. Ahmetoglu is currently involved in various research projects, including examining dysfunctional behavior at work, as well as the effects of personality in preferences for non-verbal dominance behavior. He is also active as a consultant and has worked for the UK government and several leading organizations.
