Summary

Irish Times food critic Tom Doorley invites us into his garden and kitchen for a year. Month by month he shows us how to grow our own fruit and vegetables, using organic methods. Johann's accompanying recipes reveal how seasonal cooking is at the heart of good eating

Grow and Cook Summary

Grow and Cook by Tom Doorley

Ranging from old favourites like Blackberry and Apple Pie to more unusual dishes such as Amarone Risotto and Pumpkin Filo Pastry Parcels, the recipes honour the link between the earth and the table. Tom and Johann communicate the unique pleasure of eating home-grown produce and the satisfaction that comes from mirroring the natural changes in seasons at the table.

More that just a `how to' guide or cookbook, Grow and Cook is a celebration of good, fresh, home cooking and an introduction to the joys of growing, harvesting and cooking your own produce, no matter how small your patch.
