This book has been written with the aim of drawing the bereaved family as far as possible into the preparation of the funeral, and contains services for various occasions combined with resource material of readings, prayers and suggestions of appropriate music.

About Spck

The Revd Fraser Smith is a Methodist minister and chaplain to a top security prison in Lancashire. Educated at London and Cambridge universities, most of his church appointments over the last thirty years have been in town centre and inner-city areas. He has been much involved in counselling the dying and bereaved, and it was in relation to this aspect of his ministry that he wrote Life after Life: Readings to Comfort the Bereaved which we published in 1993 and reissued in 2000.
