This collection of detailed worked case histories sets out to fill that gap, and is especially suitable for teaching, or for student learning and self-assessment. The 57 cases that make up the book are drawn from 9 key areas in general medicine, and have been prepared by some of the most eminent specialisits in those fields. They are all written to a standard format and each is concluded with examinations. The second edition contains new cases in psychiatry and has been updated in the areas of investigations (now including NMR scans) and therapeutics.
