About R Woodhouse
Robert Woodhouse began researching the history of north-east England in the 1960s. He has nineteen books on the area to his credit , for nine different publishers (including North Yorkshire - Strange but True for Sutton), and makes regular contributions to local radio and newspapers. Well known for his summer schools, adult education classes and annual lecture programme, Robert is one of the north-east's foremost historians.
