This was a wonderful celebration of a diverse cultures and holidays across the globe. In this book we get to visit 15 different areas and learn about the holidays that are celebrated in these places. Many of these celebrations I have never heard of until reading this book [...] Readers will also learn about the different foods or activities associated with the holiday. This book is extremely diverse in the illustrations and truly celebrates the global diversity of holidays and people who celebrate them. Pavla Hanackova hails from the Czech Republic and loves traveling. She draws inspiration wherever she goes, all the while feeding her other passion-food and everything associated with it. Michaela Bergmannova currently works with publishers, Czech TV, or a magazine for children. Helena Harastova graduated in Dramaturgy from the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, Czechia and used to work for the National Theatre in Brno. Now, she works as a writer and an English and Russian translator. She is also fully engaged by her duties as a mom. Her most unusual pastime is searching for texts of all kinds for errors of spelling, grammar, and style.
