Summary
In 2006 a succession of huge underwater explosions has left three of the world's largest oil tankers burning in the middle of the Strait of Hormuz. As world oil prices rocket, the US president's National Security Adviser orders the US Navy into the area, including the ageing submarine USS Shark.
