About Pat Shipman

Pat Shipman is a professor of anthropology at Pennsylvania State University. Her book 'Wisdom of the Bones' (co-authored with Alan Walker) won the 1997 Rhone-Poulenc Prize for science writing. 'Taking Wing' won the Phi Beta Kappa Prize for science and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award and named a New York Times Notable Book for 1998.
