Ethnography as a Pastoral Practice Reviews

Ethnography as a Pastoral Practice was a ground breaking book well ahead of its time when first published. This Second Edition takes account of new developments in what has become one of the most fast growing and exciting fields in Practical Theology and it ensures that this volume continues to be essential for anyone working in the area of Theology and Qualitative Research.

-- Pete Ward

"Ethnography as a Pastoral Practice is not simply a "how-to" book, it is a book of hard-earned wisdom accumulated over years of both research and teaching in ethnography. In other words, Dr. Moschella does what she writes, and we are the beneficiaries. Highly recommended. "

-- Todd Whitmore

"The revised second edition of Mary Clark Moschellas Ethnography as a Pastoral Practice: An Introduction provides a trustworthy and practical roadmap for those privileged to embark on the ethnographic pastoral journey. The many case studies and practical examples provide invaluable pointers along the way. This is a significant publication in the ever-expanding field of pastoral and empirical theology."

-- Jaco S. Dreyer
