Fussy Freda Summary

Fussy Freda by Julia Jarman

A deliciously funny rhyming tale. Perfect for fussy eaters and their despairing parents!

Dinnertime isn't easy in Freda's house.
Mum cooks beans. YUK!
Grandma cooks fish and chips. YUK!
Dad cooks crispy duck. YUK! YUK! YUK!

There just isn't any pleasing Fussy Freda. But her cat is not so fussy, and this causes a culinary catastrophe!

This cautionary tale will have toddlers calling out for more, and more, and MORE!

Fussy Freda Reviews

The rhyming text is wonderfully fun and the progress of the bull through the farmyard will keep young children engaged. The illustrations, too, are colourful and detailed with plenty to draw on about animals and the work that takes place in farmyards. The text also offers lots of opportunity to work on rhyming words, and phonics, and for encouraging children to create their own farmyard rhymes. * Reading Zone *

He now works mostly in children's books, including his own Captain Falsebeard and the Knightmare series with Peter Bently.
