Daedalus is proud of his beautiful, impetuous and sometimes wayward son, Icarus, and cares deeply for him. So when he sees how much Icarus longs to escape from their island prison, he is determined to use his skills as an inventor to come up with a plan. When their attempt to sail across the sea fails, Daedalus creates an even more dazzling, and dangerous, invention: wings so they can take to the skies.
