Water: Exploring the Science of Everyday Materials by Jane Harris
In Science Explorers, children find out about the properties and uses of everyday materials. The series takes an active approach to finding out about materials. Children are encouraged to ask questions about what different materials are like, formulate ideas about how a material might behave (when water is dropped on to it, for instance), and test out these ideas. This book investigates where water comes from, why we need water and what we use it for. It also looks at what happens when you put things in water and how it behaves.
