This approach has been experienced by thousands of nurses and other caring professions in recent years. This book is intended for nurses who work in clinical practice, primarily students of nursing, but also practitioers and managers whose primary objective is the development of people-centred, participative approaches to improving care. Heather Marr has worked as a facilitator in Standard Setting, Audit and Quality Improvement initiatives since 1986 within Fife Health Board and throughout the UK. She pioneered the development of the Dynamic Standard Setting System; she has led many workshops and has provided practical experiences for the RCN's Standards of Care Project.
