The authors begin by telling the old romantic story that we all know - England in the 12th century. Richard the Lionheart in Palestine on a crusade, government in the hands of King John, Robin Hood outlawed in Sherwood Forest with a valiant band of followers poursued by the Sheriff of Nottingham. Then they begin their quest for the real Robin, a story that eventually revealed that Robin was a man who lived two centuries later and led a peasants revolt from Wakefiled.
