The Jayhawkers by Elliot Conway
Luther Kane, one-time captain with Colonel Mosby's raiders during the Civil War, is forced to leave Texas and lie low in the Nations to avoid bounty hunters tracking down and arresting men who served with the colonel. He joins up with three Missouri brush boys, outlawed by the Union government and themselves hunted for atrocities they carried out when riding under the black flag of 'Bloody' Bill Anderson. Now they must take the fight to the red legs in a series of bloody shoot-outs to finally end the war against them.
