Dunne & Crescenzi 'The Menu' Summary

Dunne & Crescenzi 'The Menu' by Eileen Dunne

When Eileen Dunne and Stefano Crescenzi opened their unassuming italian eatery on Dublin's Frederick Street, in 1999, they weren't to know how quickly it was to become a well-loved institution. This can be attributed to the solid foundations of Italian cooking upon which their menu is based: a respect for the varied traditional cooking methods and a great understanding of flavour combinations as well as being a meeting place where socialising and food are inextricably interlinked. Using a unique combination of specially imported Italian goods with the best local produce, Dunne & Crescenzi's menu is mouthwatering. Recreated as a recipe book for every one to enjoy from home, 'The Menu' focuses on the most popular dishes from the restaurant with a selection of simple and delicious antipasti, bruschettas, soups and salads, to a variety of scrumptious pastas, lasagnes, polentas and risottos as well as a range of succulent meat and fish dishes. This cookbook, full of life and flavour, is a must for fans of Italian food.

About Eileen Dunne

Eileen Dunne Crescenzi left Dublin in 1975 to study art at l'Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome where she met her husband and partner in business, Stefano Crescenzi. They were immediately drawn together by their mutual passion for Italian culture, food and wine and in 1995 they decided to return to Ireland and open a restaurant showcasing the finest Italian foods, wines and dining experience.
