About Deborah Judd

Advancing her nursing career, Deborah graduated with a Master's of Nursing from Georgia State University in 1994 and was credentialed as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has worked regularly with underserved populations as a nurse practitioner since that time. Judd has been involved in a number of outcome studies associated with direct patient care has presented at many national forums. Additionally, she has been involved in curriculum development and teaching in the areas of professionalism, nursing history, theory, and research. Kathleen Sitzmanearnedher BSN from the University of Utah in 1984.She has practiced in many areas of nursing since then, devoting the most time and energy to home healthcare and hospice nursing.She received a Master's of Science in nursing in 2001, and since then, has focused on teaching in the nursing program at Weber State University. She is a nurse researcher and has so far been the principle investigator for three research studies, the results of which were published in peer-reviewed journals in 2001 and 2002.Sitzman isalso a prolific nurse writer, having published over 60 articles (and counting) in peer-reviewed journals over the last 6 years.
