Each book contains reduced facsimilies of all the relevant copymasters to facilitate evaluation and lesson planning. People, Cities and the Countryside examines world population trends and the process of urbanization and counter-urbanization. The book considers the issues which affect people living in a variety of both urban and rural environments. The links and possible tensions between rural and urban areas are also investigated and students are encouraged to consider the quality of life offered by differential residential environemts and to question the images they may hold of them. Throughout, there is an emphasis on how decisions are made about the areas where people live and how individuals can influence such decisions.
