About Clare Inkson

Clare Inkson is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism at the University of Westminster in London. She has extensive experience of working in tourism in operational and marketing roles in the UK and overseas, for tour operators, wholesalers and travel agencies. Her research interests include tourism distribution channels, destination marketing and the tourism sharing economy. Professor Lynn Minnaert is the Head of Subject, Tourism and Languages, at Edinburgh Napier University's Business School. Her research specialism is social inclusion and social sustainability in tourism and events: she has conducted research projects into social tourism, the social impacts of the Olympics and social legacy initiatives in the meetings industry. She has lectured in tourism and events management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the UK, the US and in a range of different countries - this international perspective is reflected in this book.
