Introduction to Wildlife and Fisheries: An Integrated Approach by Charles Scalet
This text integrates both fisheries and wildlife science and should be of interest to students of wildlife management, biology, applied ecology, environmental science and field science. The book offers information on resource consumption and maintenance, resource conservation and global issues. It is presented in three sections: the biota, the habitat and the human users correspond to the three major components of any wildlife or fishery system. An introductory overview places each chapter in context and provides transitions between chapters, and each chapter concludes with a brief summary and a series of review questions and exercises. In addition, familiar rather than scientific names are used throughout.
