This is the first book to survey the various approaches to health care as defined by the major Eastern and Western philosophies, and to attempt at least the first step towards synthesizing these into a universal, practical view. It also attempts to bridge the gaps between various disciplines concerned with health care and to formulate a comprehensive and integrated image of human nature as it applies to the process of healing.
