Peaches and Cream follows the story of Charlotte Bomefield through the 1920s from her days as a schoolgirl and the lover and plaything of the strong-willed Cicely St John. From the decadent joys of London's invert society, to the rustic pleasures of Somerset, her beauty and compliant nature are taken advantage of again and again, by lovers both male and female, conventional and peculiar. None, however, are so peculiar as her own guardian. Colonel St John, who expects fellatio with his bedtime story each evening and takes girls' milk as his preferred tipple.
