This book covers the new BTEC unit Materials for Engineering (171J) and the GNVQ level 2 manufacturing optional units at intermediate and advanced levels of Select and Test Materials (U1O16547) and Select Materials (U1016553). It should also be of relevance to other courses where engineers require an introduction to the selection of materials.
