Literacy Practices combines key theoretical issues with illustrative case studies to examine current understanding of literacy. Drawing upon insights from social theory and linguistics, the author argues that literacy should be approached from both theoretical and practical angles. In particular, he emphasises the roles of literacy in complex multilingual settings.
