A substantial shift in the way student teachers are trained has meant that increasing numbers of school teachers are now sharing the responsibility for student tuition with teacher training colleges. The mentoring pilot system has caused teachers anxiety due to a lack of guidelines on how to integrate the mentoring system into everyday school life.
