Lyn Le Grice has put together 20 celebrations inspired by the seasons that combine the best of theatrical, atmospheric and imaginative effects. Included are a children's pirate party, complete with costumes, a treasure map and a Jolly Roger cake, a summer wedding reception held in a stencilled tent and a Venetian-style masked ball for New Year. All these colourful festivities rely on hand-made decorations, food drink and costumes, which are therefore cheaper, more stylish and individual than commercial party packaging.
