This collection of essays on community leisure and recreation is divided into two sections. Part 1 examines the nature and development of a community approach to the provision of leisure and recreation services and is mainly theoretical in its approach. Part 2 examines critically the application of community approaches to leisure and recreation provision in specific contexts, drawing upon the theoretical discussions of Part 1 as a means of analysis.
