The principal architect of French administrative law has been, and remains, the Conseil d'Etat, although assisted now at local and regional level by administrative courts of first instance and appeal. This book, now in a much expanded and completely revised fourth edition, discusses the structure, procedure and jurisdiction of the administrative courts, with particular emphasis on the Conseil d'Etat, and analyses the substantive law which they apply.
