Scandalous Innocent Juliet Landon

Two women, two generations apart, both on the brink of scandal...Phoebe shared more than her unruly dark curls with the ancestor whose portrait graced the walls of Ham House. Impatient of convention, both had retreated from the excesses of London life to Richmond's leafy beauty. Yet neither had enjoyed peace for long. Their retreat posed a challenge to Society's most notorious rakes - a certain Viscount Ransome seemed set on making Phoebe his own. But secrets and passion were part of the fabric of Ham House and Phoebe had learnt from her rebellious ancestor. She planned to bring the arrogant Viscount to his knees...

Scandalous Innocent Bewertungen

"While playful with history, Landon is...both accurate and subtle." - The Romance reader "Landon's understanding of the social mores and language of the era flow through the pages..." - The Romantic Times"

Über Juliet Landon

Juliet Landon's keen interest in art and history, both of which she used to teach, combined with a fertile imagination, make writing historical novels a favourite occupation. She is particularly interested in researching the early medieval and Regency periods and the problems encountered by women in a man's world. Her first books, which were on embroidery and design, were published under her own name of Jan Messent.
