This is an account of an outwardly respectable and loving family which was shattered by betrayal and murder. It involves the bizarre and tangled case of Bonnie von Stein, a North Carolina housewife and mother, whose wealthy husband was savagely killed in bed beside her, leaving the police with what seemed an unsolvable case. Mrs von Stein believed her husband was the victim of an intruder.
