Children's Animal Atlas Zusammenfassung

Children's Animal Atlas Barbara Taylor

Children' s Animal Atlas is the perfect first atlas for young animal lovers.

The colourful illustrated maps contain essential geographical information such as countries, principal mountains, rivers and lakes. The book is crammed with interactive fun, so that young readers can truly engage with the animal world.

With more than 250 stickers, six postcards and a personalised spotter' s guide, readers will be entertained for hours on end.

Look for the stunning pictorial icons featuring unique animals, fill in the spotter' s guide with stickers, send postcards from six different continents and use the Fact File panel on each map to discover a mini-file of key information.

Children's Animal Atlas follows on from the popular Children's Activity Atlas (9781781716793), published in 2014.

Children's Animal Atlas Bewertungen

The Children's Animal Atlas is colourful, easy to manage and nicely organised. There isn't too much information provided for a KS1 child to absorb but with the extra material provided at the back, you can develop more thinking activities, for example encouraging children to create their own quiz from the information in the book, or using it in partner work for the children to ask each other questions. You can work on answers being detailed and precise, so they'd need to use page references, or build in writing exercises based on the postcards and posters in the book. This is not just a one-dimensional information book.
