Livres par Roger Holden
Roger Holden has been interested in industrial archaeology since he was a teenager living in Sussex, a county noted for windmills. On moving to Stockport in 1982 he was captivated by the vast cotton spinning mills of Lancashire and since then has devoted much of his spare time to studying these buildings. This has included academic study and he holds a Certificate in Local History from Manchester University and an M.Phil in History from the Open University, awarded for the thesis on which this book is based. He is active in the Manchester Region Industrial Archaeology Society as the editor of their Newsletter and is a member of the Association for Industrial Archaeology and of the Victorian Society.
