Phillipa Bowers spent her childhood in the suburbs of London and attended Notting Hill and Ealing High School for Girls. She was employed in a variety of ways, including as a stewardess with both BEA and BOAC, before marrying and raising two sons. She lives on the North Coast of Cornwall with her partner Terry Walsh.
